WPS came and moved our electrical service underground. Yay! Now, on to ripping out the old stoop and then picking out and adding the new.

    We went from this:

My framed print is done. Here it is!

It looks great. It is exactly what I talked to the designer about. The yellow tones, small reveal of green and the wood frame are perfect. With the standard 60% off framing coupon plus the $10 off coupon I paid $100. I chose a more premium frame which lifted the price a bit. I am very happy with it and I can’t wait to make that wall a little less bare.

Work is definitely underway! Our back entrance hallway is torn apart and we’re waiting for the new window and door to come in.

The electrical work is also moving along. Here is our new box. It is now on the back addition of our house.

We had the outside service moved from where it is now (which is where the door will be), to the back of the house. We’re waiting for Public Service to come and bury the line. The overhead line will be taken down then, too. We are happy to have it on the back of the house so it isn’t on the main patio area, making it more hidden from our view.

We have nothing going on. Well not nothing I suppose. We’re waiting for Public Service to move our electrical from the back of our house, to the back of our addition.

They will also be burying our overhead powerline below ground at that time. We’re on their list and we’re just waiting for them to come. Our door and window have come in so once Public Service does their part, we will fly to the finish!

What we have not been enjoying is still the difficult basement access. It’s an unzip and zip each time to keep the cats from getting in the area.

Their food, water and litter boxes are residing in our spare bedroom upstairs. I can’t wait for everything to be done!

We will not be putting in a patio until next year. We want all work on our garage complete (new doors, windows, roof, siding, etc.) before we make the final plunge in to the patio. We went from in progress to as good as it will be for now. It doesn’t look like it here but there are 2 levels of even dirt, supported by hidden concrete.

The recycled concrete and months of settling should give us a good base in spring. I cannot wait until we can spend an evening outdoors here…

our last name. I wanted something V (you know I love our letter press Vs) and my husband loves maps, so Etsy seller Shelley Gardea of Flea Market Sunday had just the right thing.

I messaged her and asked her to make a V with a Wisconsin map and the bright blue interior I saw on some of her samples. It took a few weeks and arrived perfectly wrapped and protected. It is exquisitely made and looks so cute in our living room. The map and bright blue accent is just what was needed on our mantle.

    I love it.

We have bought a few batches of Duplos on Craigslist for Kevin Scarlett. We have gotten great colors, sizes, pieces, kits, etc. at great prices. A wash in the bathtub makes them like new. Kevin has crafted animals, Sesame Street charcters and more. This week? The Olympics. Some of the features? The torch, diving, rowing and even a guy on the pommel horse. For your enjoyment…
